It's a marketing scam of course. I like how they are offering a "Black Diamond Alpine Body (sic) harness". Crappy harness, and they don't even get the name right. Obviously not climber driven.
Go to rockclimbing.com or Mountain Project instead of this schlock.

I ended up with the SAME experience with trailgrind.com - saw an opportunity to be a beta tester on offered on Facebook, signed up several months ago - STILL no word on my tee shirt AND offered me the credit card scam too. Hmmm. And the "pro" listed on EACH site... is the SAME guy. Now, I'm good...but how many sports can a guy be a "pro" at... this guy, Bobby Redfern, is a self proclaimed "pro" at climbing, tennis, surfing, skiing... the list goes on. And he lives in South Carolina? Come on man.
Launch your sites organically and IF you are worth your salt, people will find you AND keep coming back.

It’s a targeted-advertising campaign designed to push relevant products based on the personal information you provide. But I’m not sure how interested in rock climbing these folks are. They seem to have these sites set up for about every type of outdoor activity. For example, in addition to Crankjam.com, there’s:

Slopeforce.com (skiing/boarding),
paddlespin.com (kayak),
trailgrind.com (mountain biking),
reefdrift.com (scuba), and
outpacker.com (hiking).

There are probably others.
