Big Bang Theory’s Writers

On a scale of 1 to 10, I like the writers from the Big Bang Theory a lot.  I wrote a post awhile back regarding their theme song, penned and sung by one of my favorite bands since 1992, the Barenaked Ladies.  So clearly I like the show.  But this post is really about Chuck Lorre Production’s vanity cards, their sense of fun and humor, and their flippant style of creating content. Let me show what I’m talking about:

Now, these guys are not the first to do this kind of thing.  This sort of tongue-in-cheek, backbitten prose is fun and clever, but not necessarily original.  Kevin Smith penned something similar in the opening frames of Dogma for instance, regarding Platypi.  But as a full-blown geek who loves Star Wars and old school Star Trek both, I got enough of a kick out of this to take a photograph, sync it to my computer, email it to myself, and eventually blog about it.  If I were to give this a numeric rating, I’d call it an 8.5 for sheer silliness.

BTW, this was the screen from this week’s episode.  Another fine example.  Beware: Movie Spoiler Alert

after watching the most recent episode, i came to the conclusion that as much as we geeks enjoy the show, we are out numbered and must enjoy the show while it’s still on the air.
